The Original 1227 Desk Lamp in Jet Black balances its beautiful and vintage style with practical lighting functionality, making it the perfect desk lamp for home, office or study.

George Carwardine designed the Original 1227 as a task lamp with flexibility and stability in mind, marrying the two together in perfect harmony. Over 80 years on, this vintage desk lamp has stood the test of time and is still relevant today.

Anglepoise is a timeless and iconic British brand, which started in 1932, when vehicle suspension engineer George Carwardine invented a spring, crank and lever mechanism that could be positioned with the lightest of touch yet would maintain its position once released, a blueprint for the first Anglepoise task lamp was born.

    How does it work?


    - When do I pay what?
    Your first month's furniture payment will be when you checkout, plus a £39 delivery fee. Your second furniture payment will be one month after the delivery day, and so on. When you return the furniture, you pay a collection charge of £39-£69 depending on the number of items.

    - How long is a subscription? 
    You can subscribe for as short amount of time as you want, or up to 3 months. You can give notice easily through our customer portal or by emailing us and we collect the furniture within 10 working days. There is a minimum fee for 2 months, so you can return your items sooner, but would still be charged for that period.

    Sustainability
    Our furniture is 'Zenkki Certified' and selected to be suitable for a circular model, of high quality, durable and long lasting. We try to work with brands who actively engage in sustainable practices such as using FSC certified wood and environmentally friendly materials. 
    Packaging
    We reuse and recycle our packaging. We ask that you please recycle any packaging the furniture arrives in responsibly. For subscription orders we are happy to collect any packaging you may have saved at the end of your term.
    Quality
    We have extensive quality control in place. All items go through a deep clean and sanitation process which involves vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, washing and steam cleaning fabrics. We only send out furniture when we are 100% satisfied with its quality and offer a 14 day return policy on all orders.
    Refurbishment
    By reupholstering items, refinishing paint or wooden surfaces or swapping out spare parts such as legs items are restored to their former glory. A big part of Zenkki's mission is to keep furniture in circulation and quality items in use for longer. Do note that second hand items will show some signs of use. 

    3-5 days delivery, only pay for the first month up front with a 14 day return policy on all orders.
