Their factory sits in the outskirts of Porto, Portugal, in the heartland of manufacturing also known as the "Furniture Capital". There you can find over 35,000 craftsmen specialising in textiles, furniture design and manufacturing- so it really is the perfect location to build quality sofas.

The Swyft sofas are hand made all they way from building and carving the solid FSC certified wood frames to sewing 995 stitches per metre of fabric. So the next time you have a sit in your Swyft sofa, why not spend a mindful moment to appreciate all the work and passion that went into making it. 

On top of this, Swyft sofas and armchairs literally take 5 minutes to assemble, just have a look at this video for a quick run-through of unpacking and assembling the pieces together. 

The main reason for this convenience is the unique lock mechanism that they have developed, the Swyft-Lok. It is embedded into every sofa and armchair and allows you to assemble the item without the need for a single tool. It is so easy that you can just do it yourself in minutes. It is equally easy to dismantle the sofa should you need to, for example for a move.
